Ingredients

  • Cut the beef into small pieces and wash them thoroughly.
  • Cook the meat with all the powdered spices and salt until tender.
  • Once the meat is cooked and the water is dried up, set it aside.
  • In a large pot, heat oil and fry the onions, bay leaves, and whole spices lightly.
  • Add the cooked meat and sauté until well-browned. Remove the meat from the spices and set it aside.
  • Wash the rice and drain the water.
  • Add the rice to the pot with the remaining spices and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add 6-7 cups of hot water and salt to the pot. When it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low.
  • Spread the meat evenly over the rice.
  • Place green chilli peppers on top.
  • Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Remove from heat after 20-25 minutes and let it sit, covered, for a while.
  • Serve the Spicy Tehri with salad.
