Ever since getting married, my interest in cooking has grown, and I developed a liking for cooking by watching my mother’s culinary skills. I started experimenting with cooking by observing my mother’s recipes.

I participated in a local-level cooking competition called “Marks Dessert Queen,” where I prepared regional dishes for the first time. I cooked dishes like egg pudding, rice pudding, and egg fry in that competition.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a blender, blend two teaspoons of yellow mustard, two teaspoons of brown mustard, two green chilies, and a sufficient amount of water.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the blended spice mixture with four teaspoons of onion paste, one teaspoon of turmeric powder, one teaspoon of red chilli powder, a sufficient amount of water, and salt according to taste.
  • Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the spice mixture to it. Stir well.
  • Add the Hilsa fish, marinated with the spice mixture, and cover it with a few green chilies.
  • Cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and serve.

Notes

The cooking time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the fish.
