Ingredients
- 2 pcs Hilsa fish
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- salt to taste
- 3 tbsp onion paste
- 1/2 tsp garlic and ginger paste
- 1/2 cup mustard oil
- 4-5 pcs green chilies
- 1 tbsp mustard paste
- sufficient amount of water
- 3 pcs lemon leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- First, wash the fish well and marinate it with a pinch of turmeric powder, a little salt, and rub it nicely.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, add onion paste, garlic, and ginger paste, and fry for a while.
- Add a little water, turmeric powder, chili powder, and mustard paste to the pan. Stir well and cook until the oil separates.
- Once the mixture is well cooked, add the marinated fish to the pan and flip it a few times. Add salt and water according to your preference, then cover the pan.
- Cook the fish until it is tender and the water dries up. Once the fish is cooked and the water evaporates, add lemon juice and lemon leaves to the pan. Stir gently for a minute and remove from heat.
