Ingredients
For marination:
- 1 chicken breast cut into cubes
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- 1 egg
- salt to taste
For gravy:
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 1 cup cubed capsicum 2/3 colours
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 cup cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breast into slightly larger cubes and drain the water.
- Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients for marination and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken cubes one by one until golden brown. In another pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Add garlic and ginger paste and sauté.
- Then add chopped onions and cubed capsicum. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chilli sauce, ground black pepper, sugar, salt, and chicken stock.
- Mix cornflour with water and gradually add it to the gravy, stirring continuously. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the fried chicken cubes and cook for 5 minutes on high heat.
- Serve hot with fried rice.
