Ingredients
- 1 kg Beef
- 2 tbsp Garam Masala paste/powder Black Pepper, White Pepper, Bay Leaves, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Fenugreek, Carom
- 1 tbsp Ginger paste
- 2 tbsp Garlic paste
- 4/3 cup Onion slices
- 2 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 1 cup Tomato cube slices
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 4/5 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 1 cup Cooking oil Soybean/Olive
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the beef, garam masala paste/powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, paprika, coriander powder, ghee, yogurt, tomato cube slices, sugar, and tomato ketchup. Mix well and let it freeze for half an hour or 15 minutes
- In a saucepan ,heat up the cooking oil over low heat/simmer. Add the onion slices, tomato slices, and spring onion (if using) and fry for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from the pan and place them in a separate bowl
- In the same pan, add the mixed beef and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then, add some water to the pan and let it boil for 3-4 minutes. Add the fried onion slices and continue to simmer
- Pour in 1 and a half liters of water and let the mixture boil until the beef is cooked and the oil is visible
- Add the yogurt to the pan and continue to simmer for 2-3 minutes over low heat
- Transfer the cooked beef to a serving bowl, add the tomato ketchup and garnish with the fried onion slices, tomato cubes, and spring onions (if using). Finally, add a dollop of yogurt on top.
- Your Beef Yoghurt Tomato Jaal Fry with Onion is now ready to serve! Enjoy!
