Instructions

  • Boil the potatoes and mash them.
  • Fry the chopped onions in oil until golden brown.
  • Add the fried onions and oil to the mashed potatoes.
  • Add the spices, salt, and cilantro to the mixture and mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into even portions.
  • Roll each portion into an oval shape and make a hollow in the center.
  • Add a wedge of hard-boiled egg and close up the mixture, making sure the egg is fully covered. Gently form into a barrel shape.
  • Repeat step 7 with the remaining portions.
  • Beat an egg in a bowl.
  • Take some bread crumbs in a plate.
  • Coat each alu chop with beaten egg, then roll it onto the bread crumbs. Repeat the process.
  • Deep fry the alur chop until golden brown.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dip or sauce.
