Heat a pan and add some oil to it. Add bay leaf and white mustard seed to the hot oil.
Cut the tomatoes and add them to the pan.
Add salt, red chili powder, ginger paste, and sugar as per taste. Cook for 15 minutes.
Cover the pan with a lid. Cook for 10 minutes.
