Thai Beef Salad

Ingredients

  • 150 g undercut/tenderloin meat
  • 1-2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tbsp salt or as needed
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 2-4 red chili chopped
  • 60 g carrot strips
  • Bunch coriander chopped
  • 70 g romaine lettuce cored and chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  • Place red chilies, cilantro leaves, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and fish sauce in a food processor. Process for a couple of seconds to make a roughly chopped dressing.
  • Then transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  • Season the beef with salt and ground black pepper; sear the beef on all sides in a hot pan with oil.
  • Remove from the pan and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing across the grain.
  • To assemble, place chopped romaine lettuce, carrot strips, tomatoes, sliced beef in a serving bowl.
  • Drizzle with the prepared Thai dressing and mix well. Serve.
