Peel the bottle gourd, remove the seeds, and grate it.
Squeeze the grated bottle gourd using a strainer to remove excess water.
Heat a pan and add ghee. Once the ghee is hot, add the cardamom pods.
Lightly fry the cardamom and then add the grated bottle gourd.
Cook well until the water from the bottle gourd evaporates.
Once the water has dried up, add jaggery and mix well.
When the mixture becomes sticky, add powdered milk and rice flour, and stir continuously.
In a separate pan, lightly fry the nuts in a little ghee until they are half broken.
Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool. Then mix in the crushed nuts.
Grease your hands with a little ghee and take small portions of the mixture. Shape them into laddus, decorating each with a raisin.
This quantity will yield 8-10 laddus, sufficient for 4-5 people.
