Ingredients

For Marinade

For cooking

  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 cup onions diced
  • 4 garlic cloves chopped fine
  • 2 green chili chopped
  • 1/3 tsp black pepper
  • salt to taste (keep in mind, we are adding salt to salmon during marinade already)
  • cilantro optional, for garnish
Mashed Salmon Bhorta

Instructions

For Salmon

  • Mix the marinade ingredients without cooking oil and rub it on salmon. Marinade for about 15-30 minutes.
  • On a frying pan, add oil and fry salmon for about 5 minutes each side on high heat. Set aside salmon

For Cooking

  • On a frying pan, add oil and sauté onions, garlic, green chili till onion is golden brown
  • Once sauté is golden brown, add salmon, salt and black pepper to the sauté mix
  • Using your spatula, mash the salmon to mix with sauté as you stir on the frying pan. You can also mash with your hand before adding to frying pan
  • Sauté on medium high to fry the salmon with the mix!
  • Add a little cilantro for last minute garnish
  • Serve with hot rice!
