Mashed Salmon / Salmon Bhorta

For cooking
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 cup onions diced
- 4 garlic cloves chopped fine
- 2 green chili chopped
- 1/3 tsp black pepper
- salt to taste (keep in mind, we are adding salt to salmon during marinade already)
- cilantro optional, for garnish
For Salmon
Mix the marinade ingredients without cooking oil and rub it on salmon. Marinade for about 15-30 minutes.
On a frying pan, add oil and fry salmon for about 5 minutes each side on high heat. Set aside salmon
For Cooking
On a frying pan, add oil and sauté onions, garlic, green chili till onion is golden brown
Once sauté is golden brown, add salmon, salt and black pepper to the sauté mix
Using your spatula, mash the salmon to mix with sauté as you stir on the frying pan. You can also mash with your hand before adding to frying pan
Sauté on medium high to fry the salmon with the mix!
Add a little cilantro for last minute garnish
Serve with hot rice!
