  • Place the meat, ginger, garlic, onion, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, whole garlic, salt, and half of the oil in a pan. Mix them well. Add 3 cups of water. Cover and cook over moderate heat until the meat is tender.
  • In a separate pan heat the rest of the oil. Fry the onion until golden brown. Add the tomatoes and fry for a few minutes. Add the meat and paprika, stir and fry for 10 to 15 minutes. Add 1 - 2 cups of water and keep covered over low heat for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Garnish with beresta and coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with boiled rice, pulao, chapati, or parata.
